Take a look at this vase.  Would you ever guess that it used to be a bottle of laundry detergent?  Amazing, right?
We’ve been seeing a lot of posts in the craftosphere lately about going beyond recycling, to actually turn recyclable items into beautiful decor.  I think its great, especially because you begin to see how many everyday objects hold potential to be something more! In the past week alone, I’ve started to stockpile jars, tins, plastic bottles and other various pieces for this purpose. Some of these I’ll use to finally try the Adler pottery trick we posted about last month. Others will now take on a second life and become pickling containers, candles and flower pots like the picture here (the tutorial is here on Craftzine).
Do any of you out there have ideas for common items that can be remade into something more fabulous? If so, we’d love for you to do a guest post tutorial!  Email us at yaydiy@gmail.com.
