The customizable coffee mug from Aladdin.

In an effort to save a little more money, I decided to start brewing my coffee from home on weekday mornings and bring it with me on the subway.  I love my coffee guy on the corner of 32nd and Park (best cup in the city as far as I’m concerned!) but I calculated a yearly savings of  $312.50 by making it at home. That’s a lot of money for coffee…money I know I could be spending more responsibly elsewhere. (Ok, maybe not responsibly, but definitely elsewhere.)

I found this adorable mug from Aladdin in Target the other day and have been using it for about a week.  This morning I was reading the label out of boredom (forgot my book) and noticed that you can sign onto the company’s Web site and customize it with your own photos!
Well naturally it was the first thing I did when I got in  - picking a pretty pattern that let me insert pics of me and the boy, me with my sister and cousins, and of my niece/god daughter!  You print it out on a label with the cut signs already marked and slide it in through the bottom of the cup.
Love it! It’s really the little things that help you get through the day.

Fun! I would buy one of these EXCEPT that I apparently took over your spot at the coffee cart, because I’ve been going to that guy every day for the past three weeks and I can’t get out of the habit. He’s friendly, and I’m supporting a local business, so I tell myself it’s OK.

Well, the good news is I don’t always wake up as early as I’d like, and on those mornings when I have to run out, I’ll definitely give my money to the cart guy. He really is the best!
