I can’t believe it’s almost the 4th of July. Seriously? Where did the year go? Like always, I’m scrambling at the last minute to decide what super festive treats I will make.  As some of you know, I don’t really have a sweet tooth.  I’m much more of a savory girl. But I do love fruit.  So 4th of the July themed desserts are my favorite – because they almost always center on strawberries, raspberries and blueberries rather than cake or chocolate.  Yum, yum, yum.

Last year my mom and I made Martha Stewart’s summer berry trifle. It. Was. Amazing.

This year I’ll try something different. Perhaps this parfait from Martha Stewart.  But I think I may try to use Greek yogurt in place of the cream? And the jello is red current jello – I’d stick to plain strawberry.

This cheesecake from Martha Stewart is perfect to take to a party – they’re all individual pieces!I just LOVE these pinwheel cookies from Bubble and Sweet. They would be a hit if you’re going to a party with kids!

Or these adorable fireworks cookies from Red Couch Recipes. Cute, cute, cute.  I do LOVE sugar cookies!
